Terms of use
These cover the MaxHeight app and this website, both made by Ciel Labs LLC, an Oregon limited liability company. Using either means you accept them. Last updated 19 September 2026.
What the prediction is, and what it is not
MaxHeight estimates the adult height of a person who is still growing, from published growth data, your parents’ heights and the answers you give. It is a statistical estimate, not a measurement and not a promise. Real people fall outside their estimate, which is why the app shows a range and an accuracy figure beside the number rather than the number alone.
It is not medical advice, and neither is anything the in-app coach says. MaxHeight does not diagnose anything and cannot tell you whether your growth is healthy. If you are worried about your growth, or thinking about changing how you eat, train or sleep because of something you read in the app, talk to a doctor. Nothing in the app should be used to decide on any treatment.
The app never recommends growth hormone, peptides, steroids or supplements marketed for height, and asking other users where to get them is against the community rules.
Who can use it
If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian’s permission, and they accept these terms with you. The community has a minimum age of 13. Purchases should be made by an adult or with a parent’s permission.
Subscriptions, renewal and cancelling
Parts of MaxHeight need a subscription. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through your App Store account, at the price shown on the purchase sheet at the time — prices differ by country and can change, and the sheet is always the authority.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you turn renewal off at least 24 hours before it ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period. An introductory price, where offered, applies to the first period only; after that the standard price applies.
Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID settings, or from the subscription card in the app, which opens the same place. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policy, not by us — you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you subscribed and the app is not unlocked, use Restore purchases in Settings while signed in with the Apple ID you bought it with.
The community
You are responsible for what you post. The rules are set out in the Community Rules, and they are part of these terms: there is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. We remove content and accounts that break them, and you can report or block anyone.
You keep ownership of what you post, and give us permission to display and distribute it inside MaxHeight so the feature can work.
Using the app properly
Do not try to break, reverse-engineer, scrape or overload the app or its services, use it to build a competing product, or use it in any way that is against the law.
Our work
The app, this site, the artwork, the written content and the prediction model are owned by Ciel Labs LLC. Your subscription buys you the right to use MaxHeight, not any ownership of it. The research we cite belongs to the institutions that published it, and is linked so you can read the original.
No warranty, and what we are liable for
MaxHeight is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, or that any estimate will turn out to be correct. To the fullest extent the law allows, Ciel Labs LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Some places do not allow those limits, in which case they apply only as far as that place allows, and nothing here removes a right you have that cannot be waived.
Changes, ending, and the law that applies
We may update these terms; the date at the top changes and we will say so in the app if it matters. Continuing to use MaxHeight means you accept the update. You can stop at any time by cancelling and deleting the app. We can suspend or end access to an account that breaks these terms or the community rules.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States. If your local law gives you protections you cannot sign away, you keep those as well.
